Thanks for a fantastic session with Black Press Digital.
Your presentation was engaging and informative, and its form and nature were fluid and quickly reacted to adapt to the ability and interests of our audience.
Of particular value was your session on video function and form. Your helped our small-staff reporters realize they can create quality video productions without big-budget gear, and do it on deadline.
This was most helpful to us.
Thanks again, and I look forward to talking with you in future.
Sometimes the hardest pictures a newspaper journalist makes are the ones they take of themselves during hard times. San Jose Mercury News designer Martin Gee has posted a photo documentary of the effects of several rounds of layoffs and buyouts in his California newsroom. You can feel his heart breaking in captions as he recalls former colleagues and the spirit they brought to the newsroom.
Robb Montgomery works with top media houses in Europe, North America and the Middle East to develop new prototypes for news products and to design multimedia and cross platform newsrooms.
He also produces training that grows visual and digital literacy within organizations.
