The view from my room overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Alexandria, Egypt. I am here working with 12 budding filmmakers who will report a video documentary about the state of daily newspapers in this city of six million people.

Robb will lecture on design and Web techniques for improving local newspapers and their connection to serving their audiences. Montgomery will share from his background working as a newspaper editor for small community papers in Florida and the Chicago suburbs.
He will also share some of the latest research and techniques of successful local news operations from around the world.
