The goal of these virtual presentations is to arm newspaper newsrooms with the knowledge of the best new media practices they need to make their newsrooms more efficient and improve their reporting. The series includes three webinars:

  • 23 June: Search engine optimization for newsrooms: How to teach your journalists to write for the web.
  • 30 June: Twitter for journalists: How to improve your newspaper’s journalism with the real-time Web.
  • 7 July: Local databases: how to dig deep into the most important community stories

The webinar technology is user-friendly and is easily understandable for computer novices. It is also interactive and you can ask questions to our speakers both before and during the webinars.
